Appeals
Don't you agree with a CFSE decision? You have the right to file an appeal with the Industrial Commission to have your case reviewed. Here's when you can appeal, how to do it, and where to get the necessary forms.
When you can appeal
If your claim is accepted, you will be entitled to the following services, at no cost to you:
- Your submitted claim is denied
- You are not satisfied with the amount or type of compensation awarded
- Recommended medical treatment is denied or limited
- Your case was closed and you understand that you still need services
- The CFSE states that there is no causal relationship between your injury and work.

What happens after I file the appeal?
The Industrial Commission will evaluate your case. As a result, it can confirm the CFSE's decision, reverse it, request a new medical evaluation, or grant you additional compensation. You will receive a formal notification with the final determination.
