Steps to take after an accident at work
Follow these steps as soon as possible to get care and protect your rights.

Notify your employer immediately
Tell your supervisor or employer about what happened. They must complete Form CFSE-373: Employer's Accident Report.

Seek medical attention
If it's an emergency, go to the nearest emergency room.
Important: Keep a copy of your medical record.
You must then be evaluated by a doctor authorized by the CFSE.

Go to a CFSE office to file your case
Do it within 5 calendar days of the accident. You must submit:
Completed Form CFSE-373
Valid photo identification
Medical record (if you have already been treated)
Health insurance card (if applicable)

Evaluate yourself with a CFSE doctor
A licensed doctor will examine you and determine the necessary treatment. You'll be able to receive medications, therapies and recommendations about your ability to work.
File the Employers' Report
The worker must report the accident to his supervisor or authorized personnel, and request that the employer complete the Form CFSE-373.

Deliver the Signed Employer's Report
If you live with Voluntary Report, you will be given a form for the employer

Get your Medical Evaluation
Once your case is filed:
Go back to the Immediate Care Room
The doctor will evaluate your condition, prescribe tests or medications if needed

Get your Medications (if applicable)
If the doctor issues a prescription:
Schedule your Follow-up Appointment
After the initial medical care has ended:
Go to the area of Medical Appointments
They will inform you of the Date of your first appointment And the name of your general practitioner
