The State Insurance Fund Corporation (SIFC) is an autonomous public institution of the Government of Puerto Rico, created to protect the lives, health and livelihood of workers through a system of compulsory insurance against accidents at work and occupational diseases.

The SIFC offers comprehensive services to employers and workers, including the formalization of workers' insurance policies, risk prevention, specialized medical care, physical rehabilitation and financial compensation. The Corporation will provide all employers with efficient and accessible insurance that guarantees the protection of their employees and employer immunity. Workers' insurance guarantees coverage of injured employees' occupational risks as contemplated in Law 45 of April 18, 1935.
